5D Mark II not turning on, flicker on the screen

Hi there,

So my 5d Mkii has not been in use for a while but when I came to turn it back on with charged batteries (i've tried two different ones) there seems to be an issue.

I've tried everything recommended by Scrax but I can't seem to get the camera to turn back on.

I can see a flicker on the screen and the red light does flicker when I turn the camera on and off which is giving me a bit of hope but I'm not sure where to go next.

I get no response without a card in the camera and no response with a non ML card in the camera either.

What would you recommend from here?

What kind of flicker do you see on the screen?

Hi Alex,

I'll try that tonight. The flicker is like the back light coming on.

Sometimes it's beeping as well.

I'll let you know how the display test goes.
