Raw Recording using an Android Tablet
« on: November 30, 2014, 05:05:06 AM »
I have just bought a Nexus 7 Tablet to use as a monitor with my canon 5dII via USB OTG cable.  It seems to work when trying to record h264 footage but the screen is black when trying it with Raw or MLV.  Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? Or is it not possible to monitor via USB while recording in Raw? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There's no USB feed when the raw modules are enabled. Also discussed here: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=8081.0

Hi

Hope this thread is still alive. In thread referenced by DFM, (http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=8081.0) 1% claims that it is possible to record raw during USB output on 6D and 50D when bypassing (or blocking) ML screen resizing. However it is unclear whether this has to be done in the code or if it is something that can be done in existing ML versions. It would be exellent if someone could spread some light on this question.

I wonder if using DSLR controller with the wireless remote from a TP-Link TL-MR3040 (only $40) would output RAW footage. Here is a link..  http://dslrcontroller.com/guide-wifi_mr3040.php

Is there another way to get ahold of the developer of DSLR controller because he's not responding to any of my PM's.

It worked fine on iPad Mini Retina with ios 7 and it hasn't been updated for ios 8 as of yet. I can't downgrade back to ios 7 without A SAVED SHSH blob. Oops!

Shame on me I know!

Hi DeafEyeJedi.
Sorry if I bring up an old thread. Did you ever get a hold of him? He is actively posting on the DSLR controller thread at XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?s=8490a2b871d74a38ec2901887bc8e6fa&t=1202082&page=386

Also, do you know anything about the possibility of using it during Raw recording as mentioned by 1%?
