Good Morning.
Canon 5d have 21 megapixel CMOS sensor but for recording in full HD need only 2.1 megapixel. My camera suffer from red pixel on edge. All manual cleaning sensor tricks want help on live view or video. On pictures is fine. My pixel is about 20 pixels from bottom edge of the frame. In post production i can rescale all image to 102.5% and adjust vertical position and pixel is hidden. My question is: Can you change reading data from sensor so camera will read 20 pixels higher?? When i adjust in Premiere i don't have full HD and loosing lens focal Length. Or can you remap pixel in ML??

Hey Gangster,

Yes. Plenty of times.
Still bad pixel on video and live view. Stills are fine.
Actually i have 2 this same cameras and both suffer this same.
On second red pixel is about 20 pixels from bottom of the frame so maybe is possible to move frame this same amount up?? On 640/480 mode pixel is feather up.

If it,s a hot pixel it,s not adjusted. Not in mlv_dump. It would actually be very cool if user could map out pixels manually with pixel maps the same as in dcraw.
If it,s a cold pixel it should be gone with latest mlv_dump version. Or if you apply the cold pixel fix from command line.
Mlvfs is maybe taking care of the pixel, have you tried?

Ok I understand. Is this in H.264, Raw Video, or both? Red pixels usually go away in Raw video with Adobe Camera Raw. I have two pixels that aren't red that I haven't been able to get rid of, though I haven't tried options in MLVFS. Also, you can try this to improve the issue in post production: https://youtu.be/_YYhSWLGu6U
