Would it be possible to lock the mirror up between exposures when shooting HDR still images?

This would reduce wear and tear on the camera, possibly increase the battery life a little and reduce camera vibration and movement between exposures.

What camera do you have?

On my 60D, the default menu has Mirror Lock option, as well, Magic Lantern has this option....

I believe there is a silent mode but it doesn't capture at full resolution.

I wish I can lock up the mirror forever (like how in the old say with the Olympus OM-1), and so I can kept my camera more steady.

I'm afraid the only way to do it is via silent mode.
