Winows 10 dual boot Android Field Monitors
« on: November 04, 2015, 04:06:00 AM »
I'm thinking of using a CHUWI HI 8 or a TOZO CUBE I6 AIR as a field monitor.  I've tested using my 6D connected to my Desktop and the latency is around 15-20ms, much better than I anticipated.  It worked with my 70D also.  With my monitors being touch screens, it made the UI on the 6D BETTER using the Canon EOS Software.   Is anyone else thinking of using a 8-9.7" tablet Windows 10 PC in this way?  I find the EOS app more powerful than I thought!

So I ended up getting the Chuwi HI8.  It works beautifully on the PC and Android sides.  Very stable support and it even allows autofocusing.  Used it on my 70D and it works good.  On to testing with my 6D and 5DM3.

The Chuwi 8 broke within a month (cracked screen).  Sorry.  So I ended up upgrading to the 1DX Mark II and now use the Wireless ac adapter.  Very responsive, maybe around 25ms of lag?  I will post video soon.  I'm using the ASUS ZenPad S 8
