cards and stuff

hi all,

hope you are all well looking for some help here, as i have managed to balls up a camera in the past ( long time ago )

so i am looking to use ML on my 5diii, however my main question is this,

i use dual cards CF and SD, do i need ML folder on both cards?
also can the camera still be used as normal if the card is removed? ( if there was a different card that doesn't have ML on it )

basically if i need to change cards, i would like to know that i can still use the camera as normal even without the ML on the card.

I was very confused by this too, using the search this came up rather on the top. Sad it got no answer.

I've decided to simply give it a try and after running into some downgrade issues I put ML on just the SD card and it works fine. I have set my camera up to write to both cards at the same time.

If I remove the SD card I can continue to use the camera perfectly fine using the CF (or another SD), but ML won't work until you put the ML SD back inside.
