Where's Version?

Where's the version number?  I'm watching this video on focus stacking and it says it's using v2.3.  All I can find is a build date.  What's so mysterious about ML's version that one has to be intimately involved with ML just to locate it?

2.3 is a very old build. Nightly builds by date are the way it's done now. So the date of the nightly build tells you how up-to-date the code is. More details:
