Global Draw + ext. Monitor in 60fps mode not working?

I just realised that Global Draw is disabled in 60fps mode when a ext. Monitor is plugged in via HDMI, was it always like that and I missed this fact? Thanks in advance!!

Apparently it works only in forced 480p output.
