Guys,

Can I have some opinions here? Here's a quick test movie filmed with a wideangle lens on the 5D.

I recorded this in RAW 25FPS and imported to Davinci Resolve. Used BMD mode Hunter 3D LUT.
I then exported to TIFF 8 bit image sequence and imported into Sony Vegas to export to MP4 (Sony AVC codec).
I specifically turned off any resampling features from Vegas.

However, if I look at the results, it just doesn't look fluent and very low FPS-like.
It this just me? Or is this just normal for 25 FPS? Can I record 30FPS in RAW, would this help?

Thanks guys
Tempi

Exposure settings?
Can you zip and upload some 60 frames (DNG) from the fast panning sequence and link zip here?

Here are some frames

Do you mean on the cam? Or what exposure?

I did a retest with 1/50s shutter time. First one was 1/800.
It seems a bit better. But still, what do you think?

Are those frames from the first attempt in 1/800 s or from the retest?

IMO not worth putting work into this.
See https://vimeo.com/blog/post/frame-rate-vs-shutter-speed-setting-the-record-str
You will find other sources covering the effect all over the net..

If you're going to make the "Saving Private Ryan" sequel, you're all set.
