Trigger Focus Stacking From Remote

Is there a way of triggering focus stacking from the shutter release button or a remote? It seems like the only way to run it is from the ML Menu?

Looks like this isn't possible which is a real shame, when triggering exposure bracketing with the remote is possible. Guess it's a limitation with Canon't firmware.
