not sure if it's ML related or the camera...

i've got a Canon 5D ii, the CF card by Lexar 32gb .

Been shooting around 29gb of photos and a day after my last shoot, the pics i took couldnt display on the camera.

I opened up the card on my pc and it seems that there weren't any cr2 files saved but only weird folders with gibberish writing...   the previous pics I took other  the day before were fine.

windows suggested i'd fix the card due to errors, no improvement afterwards...

a days work of shooting was lost.

any ideas?

is it the ML, the firmware?

thanks,

CJ.

Never (as in never, not ever, not even after hell frozen over) use windows repair "logic". Try dedicated recovery tools. Recuva (or else) are recommended instead.

noted.

any thoughts on what happened???

Yes, but you have to test.
Use h2testw to check if reported memory size and actual memory size are matching. Backup card's content first.

windows wouldn't let me copy the files either...
