Card Buffer Benchmark on 7D

Okay, probably a totally beginner question, but I  CANNOT find an answer anywhere.

I just installed ML ( Nightly.2015Nov15.7D203 ) on my Canon 7D and was digging around in the menus, saw Benchmarks and decided to run a couple.

Read/Write Benchmark ran fine.

Card Buffer test ... just keeps running... for over an hour now.
Even stupidly shut off the camera... the test just started up again on reboot.

Is this normal? (run until battery dead or something?) or did I just completely F'up my camera?

Turn off cam, wait for LED stop blinking, wait some more, remove battery. Insert battery. Startup cam.
