They just shoot 1 sec 30 FPS video with focus ramping and call it "Depth from Defocus technology".
Then one can choose and extract any frame by clicking object on the screen (which part of image in focus in every frame memorized too) -
this called Post Focus  ;D
Viola, guys at Lytro in a shame :)

That is completely different than what Lytro is doing. In fact Lytro is developing a system that will allow you to move the camera after you take the picture.

The movement is very limited though. The same could be done if you reconstruct the depth from a stack of shallow focused images. Essentially one could create a normal map or the like. Could possibly even relight scenes with extra lights or insert 3D objects into space behind other objects in the scene. (But yeah they are two different things, possibly similar results after post processing).

That shame on Lytro was a sarcasm.
I just want to tell that the feature is something different regarding how they advertise it and what people do expect from this kind of technology. Lets say, someone will be very disappointed realising that on that one and only image the face is in focus, the eye blinked :)

Sounds like a new feature request. The eye blink filter.
