It is possible to do diy gps for canon DSLR's similar to original gp-e2?
or some maual about how usb in camera working?
or E2 disassembly:)
I think, simple scheme, contains from gps unit and uart->usb bridge inside original e2

on nikon its very simple to do diy gps

if looking for an alternative to the GP-E2, look up the Marrex MX-G10 GPS. it claims to be compatible with many canon's and can be found in the $50-90 range quite often (on ebay)
