5D Mark II - Buttons unresponsive, screen not working

Was out shooting a time-lapse with a remote trigger. After I finished I tried viewing the images on my camera to find that.

All buttons with the exception of the Scroll wheel and shutter button are unresponsive,
Screen does not turn on in any mode other than "CA"

Tried re-formatting my card and rebooting without any different results. EOS remote utility also gives me "busy" so I can't find a way to restore the default firmware through the menu (to try and remove bootflags?).

Any help would be appreciated!
