Hi Folks,
I shoot a Canon 5DMK3 and use 5 - 256GB Lexar 1066x CF Cards when I shoot musical performances. The reason you can fill a 128GB card is because the camera limits the time you can shoot at one time. It comes out to 29 minutes and 52 seconds which is about the amount of data you can fill on a 128GB card. When I use a 256GB card, I have to use at least 2 files of about 29 minutes long. If you leave your camera on to long and it shuts off, the files on my CF Card get corrupted and I haven’t found a way to salvage the video it shot... I hope this helps... I’ve shot hundreds of acoustical concerts of some of Americas best songwriters on private trains of “Roots On The Rails”. I use a SD744T to record the audio off the sound board at 24-192.
