International Space Station Lunar Transit 1/21/2016 by Nico Carver, on Flickr

Acquisition:
Mount: Astrotrac TT320X-AG in Lunar mode (this kept the moon roughly in the center of frame for 10 minutes as we waited,
Tripod: Manfrotto 055
Ball head: Oben 128 - caught it drifting a bit- might need a better one soon
Camera Body: Canon 5D Mark iii
Camera Lens: Canon 70-300mm f4-5.6 USM
Camera Settings: ISO 800, f9.0, 1/1000, 30 fps, Magic Lantern RAW- MLV container, 3x crop mode at 1920x1080 resolution

Processing:
Video:
Extracted raw frames (.dng) from container (MLV) using MLVFS.
Used about 50 best frames- converted them to tif using Adobe Camera Raw (also did a batch crop)
Imported frames into Registax 6 (running in Windows 7 virtual machine), aligned, stacked, and played around with wavelets to increase sharpness of craters, saved as 16-bit tif.
Imported stacked tif into Photoshop, aligned with frames where the ISS was transiting and boosted saturation.
