Guys, I REALLY need some help here

my camera was working just fine, then yesterday i installed the latest nightly 02/05 (it was in an old nightly already) and now my camera doen't take pictures (it does in automatic only)
the shutter opens and close but the controls get locked and the image is not shown, is like the camera freezes

:-X :-X :-X :-X

really desperate here
i formated the card with the option to remove ML, nothing
i cleaned all settings in the camera: nothing
shoot without a card didn't work
cleaned all setting in C
getting out of ideas here

Help

keikun007

before it started i tried the bulb timer in ML

it seem this config is now stucked somewhere
the camera takes a long shoot but doens't record the image (probably because i don't have ML in the card)
before i removed ML i disabled the bulb timer, but it seems something got stuck when i jumped from B to M

Update:

reinstalled ML
seem like my M mode is behavig just like Bulb
the shutter stays open until i press the shutter a second time

Yuppa

Quotereinstalled ML

Huh?

You don't "reinstall" a nightly build.  You:

1. Clear/reset all camera settings (recommended).
2. Delete ALL old files from the card (i.e. autoexec.bin and the entire ML directory).
3. Replace with new files.

**NEVER mix old with new.**

Maybe cycle the battery and try 1 - 3.

Did you check your mirror lockup settings?

keikun007

all settings were off
but it is working normal now
forgot to change here
i turned mirror lock up on and off and manual mode works ok now

thanks everybody

Yuppa

This is exactly why people should learn their cameras first so they don't blame ML as a knee-jerk response when, "sh*t happens."

While the mirror lock-up setting was clearly at the forefront on my mind, asking that sort of question was way to close to, "Well, is it plugged in?"

well yuppa, read it carufully before you bash on others
I never turned mirror lock up on
the only thing that i touched was bulb

what i did was turning mirror lock up on and off after the proble, to see if, using a different setting that interefer witg the shutter it would come back to its normal behavior

what my camera was doing was not mirror lock up. it was bulb
