I prefer to use right mouse button. So you can just slide down whole list.
3 reasons:
1. it is more accurate.
2. Workspace is free from unnecessary controls.
3. Fast access.

Ah, OK, and what about mouse wheel then? Could you add it also? It would be more intuitive i think.

HDR and dualISO implementations looks great after short testing (v2164 intel), really groundbraking :) :)

Ok. But i can't test it because my mouse has VERY twitching wheel)

I must say this is an awesome app, AWPStar :D

I got a few questions though.

I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of the color space. For some reason I can't get the Canon Log C to look right when I use a Canon Log C to LOG LUT (from Impulz) on premiere. Also, is it just me or does the display on MLVP looks like it's lowered at least a stop or two lower than what is on camera? Also: What's the difference between visionLOG 1 and 2? I thought there's only 1?

For FPN: Am I right that we're supposed to profile the noise for each ISO? I made FPN profile for each ISO steps and if that was the case, is it possible to add an option to make it so that MLVP pick the correct ISO from the available profile?

ALso: Could you make it so that the Include Audio option can be enabled by default?

Also: I notice there's a color calibration option when you paste settings on the media queue. Is this for calibration targets? (How do I use this?)

Thanks for this awesome app!

Just doing so testing on the Cdng export with adjustments and notice the none on the adjustments are being applied to the Cdng & deflated DNG's
or is the Cdng just a passthou? from the MLV? if so it far to bight or gamma shift.
Below are so screenshots from my Win7pro , by the way I'm using the latest build ,  MLVP.test.build2164.AMD (yes I have a AMD CPU FX8350 OC to 4.9  ;D)

First one is from MLVProducer exported as Cdng 16bit  uncompressed

Next one is deflated DNG

This one is 16bit Cdng from MLVFS (Win Ver.) from the quick-mount virtual directory

Finally the last one , 16bit Tiff with the adjustment I applied to all the exports

What I notice is the White levels are different MLVP=8755
and  MLVFS white level are 15000 . plus the Strip off set & "As shot as "
So is the that the issue of gamma shift or to bight.

But the adjustment are not applied thou ,
What I was hoping for was to do correction etc.... export as Cdng , then import in to Apple Compressor export as ProRes 4444XQ (Mac Only 16bit linear)
Or unless you can Call up different encoder like e.g. QT (Quicktimes) on Windows (has more flexibility to add Better QT Codec)
Specially on a MAC if you have the path in windows it may work with "wine" but not sure.
If not then exporting Cdng is the next best option , I could used tiff but 11-12 MB to Cdng 4MB well I like 4MB.

Besides that , MLVProducer has some amazing new features and it make that MLV file I tested look great it's usable now .
I'll put a link to my dropbox with all 3 dng's plus the Tiff & text files from ExifTool if you would like to look at.

@reddeercity:
You can adjust white level this way.
Other than that, adjustments aplied on debayered image as far as i understand.

Do you ahve ability to choose input color space in premiere?

Quotelooks like it's lowered at least a stop or two lower than what is on camera?
To match images you can set exposure to ~+1.0, or set green correction to "Lift"

QuoteFor FPN: Am I right that we're supposed to profile the noise for each ISO? I made FPN profile for each ISO steps and if that was the case, is it possible to add an option to make it so that MLVP pick the correct ISO from the available profile?
Сan you guarantee that FPN at all your footages will be the same? I doubt.
You should definitely take FPN sample at the same ISO, and i think, the same time.

QuoteWhat's the difference between visionLOG 1 and 2? I thought there's only 1?
Vision Log color space cannot be represented as a curve. So i've made 2 variants. And i'm not really sure what is closer to original.

QuoteCould you make it so that the Include Audio option can be enabled by default?
Yes)

QuoteI notice there's a color calibration option when you paste settings on the media queue. Is this for calibration targets?
This option for a spherical camera in vacuum. For some cameras, this can make the colors more natural.

MLVProducer. p.s. sorry for my bad english.

Hello AWPStar =)

I Just been able to try today the new version and i can't open the MLV files. It shows some time out of memory or Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range  =/

You sir are a genius!
I tried out the Alpha build 2164 and dual iso processing has been successful on the first test clip.
I cannot send enough praise your way. You have made my workload a pleasure instead of chores.
Seriously Amazing stuff. Keep up the work!

That is absolutely great!
Thank you very much :) - much better workflow yet.

I have a newbe-question:

How can i settup "global settings"? Because when i open iE 20 clips shot with same lens and cameraconfigurations it would be great to set
all settings for all clips together. Greenchannel reconstructing, Demosaic, ColorSpace, Corrections and the outputpath- just everything.
Doing this via "groups" would be fine. So when all clips from that group have their "basicsetup" we could fineadjust each by each (when needed) in task mode.
Or am i missing something or doing something wrong ;)?

And- is it possible to export to lagartih-losless-codec? Or do you think that is not needed?

AWPStar

@dafassi
my workflow:
1. Setup Input/Output settings. -> Copy to other clips
2. Switch to global editing mode(or Group mode)
3. Edit clips
4. Switch to Task mode
5. Finetune all clips

Just in case

Quoteis it possible to export to lagartih-losless-codec?
ffmpeg doesn't support lagarith encoding. For now.
MLVProducer. p.s. sorry for my bad english.

dafassi

Great thank you!
What im missing is that the settings for reconstruct/Linear/...  and the filter settings (specialy lut) are not handled in group- or global mode (as well as the output directory+compression settings).

Would it be good for someone else to have this included in Group/Global.

It would give just a little bit faster workfow than using copy and paste i think?

I´ve tryed the copy/paste-method ... my win7 64bit freezes completely when clicking on paste (the 2nd paste in the popup) :/

CPU AMDFX4100

let me know if you need any informations.

Its absolutely great that someone makes this possible :).

Thanks, AWPStar! I'll look into all these :D

Do you mean the lumetri thing on latest Premiere CC? I have that.

Btw, how do you make GroupView to show up on the top like in the video?

PS: Could you add CineStyle as one of the log conversions too? I know they put out a CineStyle to Rec709 LUT a while ago.

DeafEyeJedi

Running latest MLVP on OS X has never been easier than before. Especially for the exporting option and am digging the Settings scroll-down options from the top left of app.

Tested with Dual-ISO files from SL1/100D (to see how well the Remove Focus Dots works together with Dual-ISO footage in both non-crop and crop mode) which came out quite interesting (renders pretty quickly as well which is a plus) ... Still better than I expected but not yet perfect. Definitely a great work in progress so far!

Watch what happens when you DON'T shoot in crop-mode (RFP doesn't take in account for the entire frame) which is why it is recommended to shoot in crop-mode for those cameras affected by the furious Focus Pixels until further development by our dev's especially @dfort who is hard at work at making this more 'universal friendly' type of RFP for all of us at the end of the day. Kudos to you all!!!

@AWPStar ... Here are the original Dual-ISO files from above: https://mega.nz/#F!Sw8FybiC!gorbjiC1fwNJT8naH60-ag

Also will post results from the same test files after color-grading them since they came out in AlexaLogC (not sure if thats the best one for Dual-ISO) but this is the fun part of testing ... to see what works and what doesn't. Thanks again for your hard work on this!

Im not sure how to do it with Premiere. Buy 3D-Luts should applies on a certain color space.

You can select "Group View" from the "Window" menu, and then move it to top.

Thank you!
I should remap my patterns.

Maybe you would post actual versions to the 1st page :)?

In MLVP.test.build2164.INTEL version I am able to browse and choose a colour LUT on the filters menu however the selected LUT does not get applied. Selected LUTs were either *.cube or *.3dl type.

Any chance of making the scrollbar for the scrollable tools a bit thicker/wider. It can be a bit of a challenge to pick up the slider or line up the pointer within the slide channel. More often than not I pick up the edge of the tools frame instead of the scrollbar.

Whilst on the tools, has no impact on the actual size/presentation of the tools themselves. Personally, I'm happy with the default sizes and don't there is a need to be able to stretch them. Maybe this is something that can be disabled. It might make the scrollable tools a little less hit or miss.
