Shooting raw. Using macbook as a monitor to get a live feed.
« on: April 17, 2015, 05:35:17 AM »
I'm wondering if its possible to connect my Canon 5DmkII to my macbook to get a live feed shooting raw.  I'm shooting on location in the city and am using a shallow depth of field so want to make sure I am nailing focus as I only have one chance to get this footage.  I've read that you can do this with a program using Windows, but I am using a Macbook. Any info would be great.

No ..you can not. In other app(windows) for example , Eos View  you can only see live view but when the camera start recording its not working.
