Would be pretty useful to add force IS/VC off in powersave options for standby mode. I don't know about canon's IS, but tamron's VC with ML in LV works all the time draining battery. VC off works fine in photo mode tho, it's active only when shutter button is pressed, but in LV it works permanently.

Usually Canon IS can be turned on and off on the lens. Don't know how Tamron are in that regard.

But IS is on constantly in Liveview if it is ON on the lens.

You can turn it OFF on lens, but well that's not the point :) Powersave in ML that let you turn off display w/o switching camera off saves a lot, so I believe most don't turn off camera off anymore while shooting, street walking etc. So, posibility turn it OFF as in photo mode would be awesome. You really don't need IS/VC working in stanby mode.
