It seemed to me that there are some focus pixels in the frame. I've also tried to fix bad pixels, but it didn't work. What am I to do?

Giving the community something to look at may be helpful to analyze your problem. Verbal description doesn't work.

Could you, please, be so kind to tell me if there are any focus pixel maps for 5D3 1.1.3 1080 full sensor? Cannot delete focus pixels in MLVApp.

or maybe you have hot pixels, which can be fixed as wall as in mlvapp or davinci.

Is it possible to implement h.264 4:2:2 10 bit recording for this camera?

In short: You can't get 10 bit H.264 recording because there is no hardwired processing unit to do so. And Digic 5 processor won't be able to do it in Real Time.

Wlad81

Thank you.

Cannot find a link to an interactive page that shows graphically the frame size and the needed write speed.

I hope you can do without graphics.
Write speed needed for H.264 modes: Manual
Write speed needed for MLV modes: Shown in bottom lines while adjusting resolution. Or RAW Calculator
Or build your own:
Horizontal x vertical resolution x frame rate x bit depth x compression ratio / 8 = Bandwidth in Bytes/s.

Compression ratio = 1 without compression.
Compressio used: Typical between 0.4 and 0.6, depending on scene.

Cannot get the camera working at 1920 50p mode for more than 15-20 sec. The settings are: autofocus off, stab off, 720 50p in Canon menu is on, Kill GlobalDraw is on, Card Spanning is on, SD is overclocked. I've tried ALL-I and IBP modes.

Anyway, it gives the following:

Wrong thread but I donĀ“t think higher frame rates modes plays nicely with cardspanning ON so start by setting that to off.

Wlad81

Done that, set Bit depth to 10 bit, and the mode works. Thank you!

I'm planning to use it for slow motion while shooting certain sport events and/or workouts. Not aiming to be like Riefenstahl (it is impossible), but I have several ideas and hope that ML would help me.

I often use the common movie mode when there's no need for highest quality, and I always want to shoot "ALL-I". But for some reason I cannot do that, although the appropriate Canon menu is set to "ALL-I" (1080p 25 fps). And it works though time - one time it may work, the other time it may not work. What am I to do?

Recorded a clip yesterday. 1920x1080, 14 bit lossless, card spanning on, SD speed up patching is on. There was NO sound in the last minute of the clip, that is, it has disappeared. I've done nothing with the camera during the shooting and connected no external mike. I was lucky the clip is not that important. So, I'm reporting the problem.

I believe it has to do with using the patching (SD Overclock if I'm right). I too have some missing audio clips. I stopped using the patching option and there is no more issues.

What type of SD Card you are using ?

Build version is Nightly.2021Feb07.5D3113. Built on 2021-02-07.

I'm using SanDisk Extreme Pro 170 MB/s 64 GB. Not a fake. CF card is Sandisk Extreme Pro 160 MB/s 128 GB, not a fake.

I'm imaging I'd go to make an interview, fly thousands of miles by plane both ways, ask a man everything I want to know about him, and finally, when I'll get home, it'd appear that there's no sound in most of clips. That's it, the life is over.

If you are sticking to 1080p and 14 bits lossless, you don't have to use patching, and with the type of sd and cf you are using you should be fine.

If it's a matter of life and death, you'd better not rely on reverse-engineering hacks but invest in professional equipment.

I think it's better to use an external recorder like Zoom H5.

wib
That is, I have to switch the patching off, the SD will be slow, and I'll also have to turn card spanning off?

5D3 is already a professional camera. But IMHO it's h.264 video is of much lower quality than lossless 14 bit.

I'm using this card :

I'm using "Danne's" last build in 1920x1080 14 bits loss less 25 fps  No card spanning or sd patch switched on. The recording is continuous.

It's OK, the common h.264 movie ALL-I mode works good, the bitrate depends on the contents of the image.

But, I'm still going to shoot an interview in RAW.

Right now I'm using "3K 1:1" mode at 2560x1440 @ 25 fps, 1/100 sec, ISO 160 (ISO 100 in sunny day), 14 bit lossless, card spanning, sharpen=80. I'm getting an ultra-sharp image with Canon 24-105 L IS USM lens. I've shot the video with the ship departing from the pier, 3 mins, later coded to ProRes 422 HQ. Almost 7 GB. If anybody wants I'll give a link to this video.
