EOS 700D Stripes / Dot in RAW

Good day,

i'm trying to record videos as raw at the moment but after i converted the files i can see stripes consisting of dots. I tried many conversion tools to dng but every time the same result. This effect happens mostly if there are red objects in the images.

What can cause this problem?

i assume, you mean this af-points on sensor?!



they should be minimized while converting. look for "chroma smoothing".

download raw2cdng 1.6.3 beta – 21.11.2014 BUGGY  from here http://www.phreekz.de/wordpress/2014/04/magiclantern-raw2cdng-1-5-0/ only that one work for me. Convert RAW or MLV with that tool but make sure chroma smoothing 2x2 is checked as this will remove pink dots. Other setting is up to you.

OK I tested latest  raw2cdng 1.7.0 – 28.02.2015 and its working too so you may download latest version

At the moment i'm on mac and i have problems with my windows pc

If you prefer Mac -- try @Danne's cr2hdr-r for any type of footage (RAW/MLV/Dual-ISO/HDR/CR2/dng) and It works well!

Hello! I tried:

Convert my MLV files to RAW with MLVMystic, then this raw file through raw2dng.exe and get get DNG files without stripes, but!!! i noticed that the DNG images were 8 bit, not 14 bits... any idea of how to configure the raw2dng.exe to get DNG with 14 bit? :/

Because this is the choice:

1) DNG sequence ( 8 bit) pure image

2) DNG sequence (14 bit) wierd stripes on image
