Canon 50D and ML

Hi !
I have a Canon 50D and i want to install the newest formware (1.0.9) and also, install magic lantern. But when i connect my camera to my mac (also tried on windows pc) when I try do put the firmware into the camera, the camera don't allow me to do it. Some one knows the solution or/and what am i doing wrong?

Your description is somekind cryptic. It does not sound like you followed update procedure as described in http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9852.0
You need a cardreader to install ML.
