I have a shoot with a big client shooting a POV scene.  Want the smallest camera possible that has 4k ability. Would love to make the 5d Mark iii work with magic lantern but I don't know if it is reliable enough to use for this project.  I have a couple concerns with the flow, will live client playback be an issue when streaming from the 5d with magic lantern?  Can I rely on magic lantern to not have any big issues during a full day of shooting? Are there any other issues that could possibly bring on problems using this system?

You better start reading the forum..

Going on a big shoot with a client and not knowing anything before hand with ML is doomed to fail.

And regarding how safe it is. I bought a MK III and the day I received it I installed MLV on it. It has never shot 1 second of h264 footage so far. It is 100% reliable as long as you know what you are doing.
once you go raw you never go back

lol. 1DC. ah, sorry, GH4 or A7s are much cheaper. rent a cam for a weekend and then for the shot.
