I would like to know if it is already possible to record full hd or near full hd continuous raw. I saw that it has 10/12/14 bit but stopped at maximum 20 seconds even using U3 card.
Use Sandisk Extreme PRO 170MB/s card and enable sd_uhs module, then set overclocking to 192 or 240MHz in the Debug tab. It will improve the write speeds.
4 - Which firmware should I use?
Canon firmware v1.1.2 and I believe this ML version: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=25786.msg213074#msg213074

Hi guys! I have a question about continuous raw recording. If my card is fast enough, will I be able to record video for a long time? Or image buffer will die?

?
If buffer overrun occurs buffer overrun occurs.
It will occur if data input data rate is higher than output data rate.
And data output rate may be limited by cam's interface limit or card write rate.

Your question is like "Will a rope break?"

If you use data rate below any limiting bottleneck in transfer chain you will get unlimited raw recording durations. (Disclaimer: Card size, battery, overheating).

thx for reply. So if card is fast enough, recording time is big?

No
Yes
Maybe

Question makes no sense without resolution/data rate in mind. So answer is volatile.

You can record unlimited 540p25 with any card doing 25 MByte/s. You can't run 4k30 in 14 bit uncompressed RAW with any card in the world for longer than a few seconds.

The speed of the card I want to buy: read 300mb/s, write 260mb/s

These speeds are for UHS-II cards in UHS-II compatible devices. Your camera does not have an UHS-II interface. It runs UHS-I.
UHS-II cards in UHS-I devices run in UHS-I compatibility mode. They will *not* be faster than fastest UHS-I cards.
We have limited experience with UHS-II cards with ML overclocking. You are best adviced to get a Sandisk Extreme Pro 170 MB/s.

1824x1026 x 14 x 25 fps / 8 = 78 MiByte/s -> I suppose it will not do for unlimited recording.
You will have to use bit depth < 14 bit and/or compression mode.

Yes. It's this model.
For 128 gb, it holds about 40 minutes of lossless compressed 1080p, 14 bit, 24p material.

The Canon 70D has a 30min limit for live view.  Does ML allow to override this limit and have live view through hdmi stay on for longer?

Hello, Are Canon firmware v1.1.3 and ML supported? if not, why?

No. Because *you* let us down by not programming it.

Thank you

1: No. 1680x1080, 60 fps interlaced.
2: U3 is a pretty useless designation. 30 MByte/s isn't sufficient to reach cam's vanilla SD-card interface limit without overclocking: Around 43 MByte/s read, 40-ish write. Something like Sandisk Extreme Pro in the 170/160 MByte/s (as labeled) has given most consistent results with and without overclocking.
3: Nothing to write home about.
4: If you want to go after highest resolution in raw/MLV recording:https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=25786.msg234507#msg234507

Some things about cards and the 70D build:

I have one 70D and one EOS M right now, if developers want to test anything specially with the 70D (danne is doing some AWESOME work updating the EOS M already), count with me.

About the cards: The fastest i’ve been able to get on the 70D was about 70mb/s with an Adata v90 128Gb UHS-II with fixed overclock on 160Mhz:

https://imgur.com/a/h5IjZtw

Even the Extreme Pro reaches just about that  on the 70D, while it reaches around 85mb/s with the EOS M.
-----
Something i just thought: in ML since we have the info on focal distance used, aperture, depth of field and others, do we have the info on the rotation of the STM (or FTM USM) ring? If yes, would it be possible to use that info to replicate the RF control ring (change ISO, WB, etc)?
EOS M - 2.0.2 - Danne's feb21 build
70D    - 1.1.2 - ArcziPL’s mar19 build

Hi there!
Please sorry me: I have no ability to read the whole topic. May be, my question already was here. If it so, please point me - where (if it possible)

On my 70D was firmware 1.1.3. I downgraded it to 1.1.2. Then I installed Magic Lantern on it. And any ML overlays didn't show.
In ML menu Global Draw = ON, all modes (also tryed others values - without any result). Pressed INFO button mutch times - no result (but Canon overlayes turns off, in cycle).
How can I turn ML overlays on?

UPD It start working: in Canon menu I pressed "Clear all camera settings"

Am I correct thinking that DualISO video on 70D is almost unusable because no build has working 1x3 binning (seemingly a prerequisite for DualISO video without extreme aliasing)?

To whom it might concern: Bilal (he of the 650D/700D fame) had expressed his interest in working on the 70D build, but lack the camera itself: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=25784.msg236046#msg236046
