@nikfreak  The beta is working pretty smoothly. Thanks a lot!  :D

But this problem still exists: camera crashes if I touch the screen while recording mlv. This doesn't happen while shooting H.264.
'Touch to focus' feature just crashes the camera while shooting mlv.

Sorry guys it took awhile in Post to get them in working order.  ;D

Workflow as follows:
cr2hdr-r > Vimeo (that's it ... nice 'n easy -- Thanks @Danne!).

H264 HDR in 60fps (Pre-post):
https://vimeo.com/137043764

RAW HDR in 60fps (Pre-post):
https://vimeo.com/137043762

MLV HDR in 60fps (Pre-post):
https://vimeo.com/137043763

H264 HDR converted 30 fps in cr2hdr-r:
https://vimeo.com/137043952

RAW HDR converted to 30 fps in cr2hdr-r:
https://vimeo.com/137043951

MLV HDR converted to 30 fps in cr2hdr-r:
https://vimeo.com/137043950

Thanks @nikfreak for bringing HDR back to life on the 70D!

*edit*

Actually just realized that I forgot Vimeo automatically converts 60fps to 30fps so the original HDR shows flicker but apparently not on this. I'll do a screen flow later to show you guys what it is supposed to look like before converting them in post.

Just wondering what the ETA is for the audio controls in 70D ML?

@deafyeyejedi. Cool to see HDR brought back to life in 70D. Good one.
A little confused with the loggish look in your HDR mlv files. I removed hardcoded 3d luts from cr2hdr-r. What version are you using?

I updated the 1st post in "What's not working" section. The workaround is to disable "Beep"in canon menu or set that option to "Touch to...". I ofc tried to fix it in the meantime but wasn't successful. So everybody better follow the advice when using mlv sound.

...Suggestion ~ Move "What's Not Working" to the Beginning/Top of the Change Log.
Done!

Ok cool. That worked.

Once again, thanks a ton for your amazing work!

the tool (hdr-workflow-051) to merge HDR video in windows expects an h264 mov file and can't open MLV or RAW.

i tried shooting 1280/60 raw and mlv HDR and get the same results as shooting h264, the HDR menu option turns green but it's shaded and it list the options as 0/0,4ev  and the resulting video has no flicker in mlrawviewer.

how do i get raw/mlv to shoot 1280/720?  i set it to 1280 16/9 and get 1280/432.

If you select the HDR video menu item, what does it say at the bottom? Something like "This feature requires manual ISO."? Are you using manual ISO?

nikfreak

@aedipuss: be sure that "Expo override" is set to on. On your posted screenshot HDRvideo is clearly "greyed out". I tried to replicate and "Expo override" was causing it to me when set to off.

@dmilligan - thank you!!!  it was set to auto.  HDR video menu setting now turns bright green and is working in h264 mov.  the windows tool only works with mov.

anyone have a windows workflow to get HDR video processed?  i take the 1280x432 mlv and open it with mlrawviewer_143 and export mov.  which should then go into  hdr_workflow_051, but it won't open the mov mlrawviewer has created.

vegas will open the mltawviewer mov and reports it as prores444 and i have that codec installed.

hdr workflow does open a HDR video if it's recorded by the 70d camera in mov.

@deafeyejedi is there a version of cr2hdr-r for windows?  all i located is the osx version.  i have the cr2hdr lightroom plugin but it does nothing for HDR video.

THere are a couple of HDR windows alternatives, don,t remember the name so just do some searching and you will find them.

I downloaded latest beta-1 but I don't have HDR option in movie menu, am I missing something?

Did you enable the required modules first and reboot cam?

@DeafEyeJedi: You need to enable a module to make HDR option visible?

DeafEyeJedi

I thought so -- If not then how come @pontius couldn't locate it?

I think you have to have the gradual exposure module enabled in order to have HDR?

There's no HDR module on module list. Where I can get it?
edit: Gradual exposure doesn't have loadable module in list but it is present on movie menu.
