copied only the MM config files from 2611 from the backup ...

You mean you copied ML\Settings\ from backup to card? Then delete all contents in ML\Settings and retry. Do you have crashes after that? Report back, please.

going to test installing 29nov "A" using a freshly low level formatted card, first from comp then again formatted in camera.  it will take a bit, low level formatting is slow...................................

ok, not sure what was wrong yesterday but 29nov "A" will install firmware on card no matter how card is formatted today.

but each time, all it takes is moving the switch to movie mode and it crashes.

@Walter Schulz - the code tag is normally used for html not text.  other than you don't like to scroll is there a reason?

Scroll will be needed anyways. Posting a link to the logs would have been cleanest solution. I'd say do what Walter requested. It's indeed better readable also tomy eyes.

@Everyone-

I just got my hands back on the 70D at work and downloaded the latest beta from Nov.29th (Thanks @nikfreak!) which seems all well and fine here on my end. I didn't even need to format the card or anything, other than just running the usual Canon Firmware update to reload ML.

I also tested pretty much everything for both Video and Photos which all seems OK other than Dual-ISO Video (still shows that weird Pink artifacts on the lower right corner of LiveView LCD) which is to be expected anyway. Dual-ISO Photos still work great!

As I am digging through previous post from the past several weeks trying to understand what other "issues" that have arise...

Unless I'm missing something that you guys want me to test/troubleshoot something more specific?

@aedipuss -- Agreed with others that it'd be best if you could kindly put your logs into "Insert Code" and allow us do the scrolling ourselves (it's rather easier this way) other than those long unnecessary post which actually grills our eyes out even more, please?

Sean, prepare a short dualiso video (nothing big) and add a few dng's  to a folder and share a link if possible. a1ex would like to have a look at it. Maybe you can show also what artifacts shouldn't be on lcd. You do lots of dualiso on other cams so there's something wrong here.

Ok, I was able to reproduce aedipuss's issue while toggling AF settings.
Everybody immediately better switches back to the Beta-2b build from 1st page. You have been warned. Don't use it any more!!  :P

Links to test builds have been removed. Sometimes sh*z happens. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanx for testing and providing feedback.

      @NikFreak

   Is it Possibly a Helpful Clue that the Issue Does Not occur on My Early 70D 111B F'W' ?

CORRECTION ~ Hadn't watched his SetUp Vid & was just going by his verbal description. After setting ISO to "Auto" & DualISO to 0/100 & RAW Vid(mlv) On,

my 70D111B became Unhappy in Movie Mode & Did LockUp after Rec was activated but Did Not Display any OnScreen Errors. One Batt' Removal & All was OK.

Then I set ISO to 160 & D'ISO to 200/800 & encountered No Issues in Movie Mode. Rec stopped after 6Sec due to FrameSkip'.

             WILL switch back to Beta-2b ~

For the time being I recommend everone to switch back and strictly use Beta-2b only. I wasn't able to reproduce aedipuss's issues but once it happened I even struggled to get the lcd powered on(taking battery out for several times didn't help first  :o). We will look into the issues thoroughly at a later time and the test builds didn't contain new features anyways. So please, again, switch back! You can only win when doingso or rather lose if you continue to use the test build.

Interestingly though this sounds like the same issue I was having on my 70D.111B install, I just didn't have that much in my crash log...

      @NikFreak

   Just attempted the "Aedipuss Anomaly" with Beta-2b & got 4sec of Vid before Frame Drop Stop & then during an attempt @ Playback the Cam Froze

requiring Batt' Remove to Resurrect. Not a problem for Me as I don't shoot RAW Vid or Dual ISO with my 70D due to having No Way to Process the Results.

Hmm let's take a deep breath and re-start from scratch. Maybe also a good idea to reset settings and be rest assured that there are no leftovers from the test builds on the card. Once an "Anomaly" occurs just provide step-by-step details on how to reproduce.

Hey guys! I have 70D and I use ML on 64bg card and I'd just like to thank all of you developers and testers who invest their knowledge and time into this software! Seems like 70D dosen't lends itself easy to hacking from what I read. Im so exited about the FPS override (timelapse) and Audio meters features. Wish you guys good luck, I shall report if anything occurs here!

      @NikFreak

   On Your latest Recommend' I Decided to Set Aside the card I had been using the past few days & do the "Aedipuss Anomaly" test with a Card that has

been Idle since 08Aug when Alpha 7.2 was Loaded on it. The Issue occurred as soon as I Switched to Movie Mode. I seem to think it has something to do with

"Auto ISO" being "On" along with "Dual ISO". I can't imagine that that Combo makes the Processor too Happy ~ Also Can't Imagine why 1 would want to use

that Combo.

Just to be Clear ~ This Card has 08Aug Alpha 7.2 on it as I thought I would try that Prior to Cleaning it & Loading Beta-2b.

@ OlRivrRat it also happens if you have auto iso on and dual iso off.  it also happens if you are trying to record standard mov mp4 and not mlv or raw. it also happens with absolutely no ml modules turned on.
