I want to download ML for my 60D but when I go to the downloads page all there are for options are nightly builds. All the tutorials I see show a section that should be above the nightly build part where you pick your camera and download the specific version. Why is this?

Thanks!

Because all the tutorials you saw are outdated.

Make sure to have the proper firmware installed.
If not: http://pel.hu/eoscard
Format card, copy extracted firmware file to card, insert into cam, run firmware update (even if downgrading).
Format card in cam again.
Insert card into cardreader, download nightly build.
Extract nightly build contents and copy extracted nightly contents to card (Autoexec.bin + FIR file + ML directory)
Insert card into cam and run firmware update.

But aren't the nightly builds more risky? Is this due to a firmware upgrade on canons side that ML needed to build a new stable version? Just curious why the change. And proper firmware. Thats 1.1.1 correct?

Nightlies are far more stabilized than what they used to be during their hey-days hence the reason why the good old so called 'stable build' has been 'offline' as of lately...
