hi all,

i am a newbie in the forum.
i can use digital zoom function of 600d (display+zoom in/out, 3x to 10x) by original firmware.
also i can use ML for video recording by CBR x 0.5 (because my SDcard is slow one so cbr 1x is problematic)
i was using both of them at ML 2.3 (base?) version until i updated it by latest nightly build.
now, i can't use digital zoom more than 3x. it says "zoom greater than 3x is disabled"
i don't know why disabled / how to enable or i am not sure if that is a bug

please help

installed version of ML:
nightly.2014oct07.600d102

please excuse my english which i am not good at it

There is no point in using digital magnification over 3x. What 3x does is taking the middle part of the sensors and using the central pixels only - therefore there is no image quality loss.
Any zoom over 3x is completely pointless as it magnifies already existing information only - it means loss in image quality, thus it should be avoided.
If you NEED to zoom into the video you can do it in post.

a few reasons why i need it:
* smoothly zooming actual scene by not caring quality loss
* continuously checking/retaining fine focus
* reduced need of post processing resources (old/inadequate PC)

i don't know why/how ML  decides to disable an option despite me...  :o

1. Do it in post. ML is not a replacement for post processing software

2. Use magic zoom or focus peaking

3. See #1
