I'm having issues with the last nightly build for 7D.

I'm having problems with the last nightly build for 7D. the problem seems to be some kind of bud: when I push the recod button and than I push it again it does not stop to record. the red circle that indicate that the camera is still recording does not disappear if I click "stop recording". the only way to exit from that is to shut down the camera and then format the CF to remove magic lantern.

I do not know is that possible that I do something wrong in my installation workflow?

What I do after format my CF is this:

1) follow this guide which i saved on my HDD. I used this guide to install ML

2) download the lastest build

3) open the build folder, then copy and then paste in the root of my CF.


I discovered that at the same address of that guide today there is a new message: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7464.0

The guide say to copy only the lastest nightly build for 7D on the clean CF and then run firmware update. I have not yet tryed it. do you have any suggestion please? Did I had that "rec button bug" because I was using an outdated guide?

it seems to work very well.
I need some time now to see if the bug will occur again. I will update the topic if I will encounter in the bug again.

hello friends unfortunately I'm having again the same problem.

I discovered that the bug should be in the "movie tweaks/ movie restart" option, bacause if I turn it off the bug stop. if I turn on again "movie restart" the bug come back.

Hello guys, I have found the latest build: magiclantern-Nightly.2015Jan03.7D203

This relase also have the same bug. Is me the only one who have this bug? I mean is my camera or is the relase? Thanks a lot!


p.s. please if you have a 7D try to select "movie tweaks" in "magic lantern menu", then select "movie restart". try to start and stop a video rec please. will it go in loop?
