INSTALLING V2.3 RCI ON 5D MARK II

I'm trying to install v2.3 RC1 (testing) on my canon 5d Mark II with absolutely no luck. I've tried upgrading to canon firmware 2.1.2 and downgrading to 2.1.1 and nothing seems to work. camera seems to see the firmware but locks up when i load firmware on camera. i've followed ALL instructions i can find on how to do this several times. cleared memory settings, formatted card. Am i missing something?? anyone else having problems loading and running this firmware?
Any help would be SUPER appreciated.

Set camera to Manual / instal Magic Lantern
when Magic Lantern installation screen appears you're done!


"Turn off camera, then turn ON"
To access the Magic Lantern menu, press the 'delete' button at the bottom left corner of the camera!
