Hi,

I have made 2 clips with mlv clips and I'm skeptical about my workflow.
Here is how I worked:
1. extract mlv to dng's with raw2cdng
2. color correct the dng files in after effects cc (acr and color finesse touching)
3. dynamic link to premiere pro cc and cut/edit the files into a video
4. color grade with premiere pro cc
5. export - done

I hear a lot of people use davinci resolve. Do you color correct and grade all of the footage before editing them? Don't you waste a lot of time grading footage you won't end up using? The export of all the clips will also take a lot of time, no? why do people keep using this program if it takes way much more time than my workflow.

Don't get me wrong, I'm always seeking for better workflows and I hope someone can convince me to use davinci because grading in premiere pro cc isn't that fantastic. But it does get the job done, fast.

I skip your step number 2 and just import CDNGs directly into Premiere Pro. Playback is realtime, no slow rendering with ACR (which is no good for video IMO)
