Hello, I am new here

I am no stranger to technology and want to be able to shoot HD video on a DSLR

I am buying a Canon 600D and I want to use Magic Lantern

However my wife will not want to use it

Can I create a card with it installed for myself and another without for my wife to use?

What would be the simplest way to do this?

I want her to be able to use the camera as is without any special consideration - it should operate like it's factory default and be okay with her taking the card out too quick etc

I am okay with convoluted button presses and special considerations etc

Please advise

Thanks

Mark

Card with ML on it = ML access.

Card without ML on it = no ML access.

...but you'll keep all Canon's settings as they were. (Which might or might not be what you want)

The Canon firmware is quite forgiving when removing sd cards before the camera completely shut down, but ML will annoy you at the next startup if you do so (it'll just require you to restart the camera.)

Teach her how to use it. Or get a new wife.;-)
