Hello
I have a problem with my digital zoom in button on my 5D MK II, it does not work in any way. Does anyone know if there is a way to reassign this button to another button like the zoom out? Any help is much appreciated.
I live in El Salvador, so to get it fixed by canon is a very expensive way to get it done as it has to be sent to the states.
I have reinstalled the 2.1.2 firmware, but does not work.

Hello,
I have the same problem =(
  • button doesn't work, so I can't view mt images = in "Image playback" I have these 9-image small previews and I can't return to one full-screen image (so I can't also check image info, histogram).

Is it possible to reassign buttons using MagicLantern?

Key remapping is generally possible with a Lua script. You will need the keypress event and the key.press function; here's an example.

However, for these particular buttons, you will run into some issues. For some reason, only the "zoom in" event is available to Lua; this should be fixed in the source code. There are 4 events for the zoom buttons (press/unpress zoom in/out). Besides, the latest Lua build is not working well on 5D2, sorry about that.
