The new 7D Mark II has usb 3.0. Based on what is known about the current Canon camera hardware with usb 2.0 (being way to slow to even consider this), could the boosted speed of usb 3.0 on the 7D Mark II allow for new possibility of continues RAW Video recording with external SSD hard drives?

Sure, 4K 30fps 14bit raw is 3.5Gbit/s, that's about the maximum you'll realistically get over a USB 3.0 connection. The only thing that's missing is a developer with a 7DII and a few years of spare time ;)

and a camera that has actually been released...not just announced.

I would donate at least 100$ if someone develops 4k raw for the 7d mark 2 stable and usable. That would be skyrocking.

Feel free to contact Canon and ask for their prefered money transaction method.
