ML loads just fine but then doesnt work...

hi everyone. new forum member here.
checked duplicate questions and didnt see this as a topic so im hoping its OK to ask here.

heres the issue.

I have a t3i with ML installed on a 16gb and 32gb card

on the 16gb everything seems to work perfectly

however on the 32 gb...
ML loaded just fine
but when i call up the ML screen apeture, shutter and ISO adjustments seem to have NO effect on my image (nor can i see any of the adjustments in live view)
if i go into Tv the apeture reads as zero
if im adjusting Av the changes are not reflected and the image remains the same no matter what.
even in M mode it doesnt appear to be working right.
tried 2 different 32gb cards and the same problem seems to exist for both.

thoughts? suggestions?
