Is it possible to control the builtin flash power on 650d/rebel instead of the ttl?  thanks

Walter Schulz

Can you be more elaborate? It doesn't sound like you are talking about manual mode.

RAW

on 650, only allow ttl flash for still photo.  can we control flash (manual flash)?

Stedda

Doesn't it have Flash Exposure Compensation? FEC?

Got rid of mine years ago can't remember...

yeah, but fec uses ttl. and ttl flash is confused . I rather have manual flash to dialing in power level.

I think that's about as manual as you're gunna get without a real flash. Which IMO is about as good to have as at least one really good prime lens...

The built in flash is useful for triggering other flashes, or producing images rivaling a point and shoot.
