Sorry if this has been asked already, but I haven't been able to find the answer. t3i; firmware 1.0.1-ml-2011Dec22.  I need to update my Canon firmware and then update to the latest ML, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do exactly. Do I delete the old ML off of the memory card, put the new firmware on it, update it in the camera; put the new ML on the card, and update on the camera? I just want to make sure I don't screw it up and turn my camera into a paperweight. Thanks

Yes, insert card with only the new Canon firmware on it and then update as per normal. Then do the ML thing.

Format card using a cardreader.
Insert card into cam and format it again.
Transfer Canon's FIR file to card (cardreader again).
Insert card into cam and run firmware update.
Format card (Canon menu option).
Insert card into cardreader.
Download latest nightly build and extract contents.
Copy expanded contents to card (AUTOEXEC.BIN, FIR file and ML directory).
Insert card into cam and run firmware update.
Follow instructions.
