Hey Guys,

I have bought a Canon 600D (T3i Rebel US) just ago 3 months to makke fotos :)
But now i want to film, but the problem is the AF, i can't zoom, focus and move the cam togther...

Is there any way to make a auto fokus on the Canon 600D ?
The Canon 650D can auto fokus...

Greetings !

It's gonna look like total garbage, but you can do autofocusing.
You have to enable it in Canon's menu while you are in video mode, it has nothing to do with Magic Lantern.

Ohh...., Okay thanks  :D !

But i have another question.
Can i program the Canon 600D with ML or something else, so that the Canon 600D start shooting (via Intervalometer) at 4am ?
So that i don't must wake up to make a Timelaps of the sunrise ?

And which slowest shutter etc.., which settings would you recommend ?
Because i haven't any experience...

first I was about to say, "no, you got to set the camera up for the right settings manually", but with ETTR it's not a problem anymore.. yeah a wake on time feature would be quite nice!

Did you ever look in the intervalometer submenu?

;)

Is there any possibility to get a FollowFocus on the Canon 600D ?
Maybe via ML ?

No, you will have to learn to manually focus. Focus peaking is a great tool for this.

@FrazeColder: There are some companies selling follow focus gear.
If you just want to do rack focus: Top of page -> User Guide -> User Guide -> Focus -> Rack focus

But it is quiet difficult to focus a landing or starting airplane while zooming...
And sorry, but i have no idea what Focus peaking is ...

EDIT: It seems you look for something to keep moving objects in focus while zooming in/out. 600D isn't well suited for that. You may want to try a newer cam supporting Hybrid AF. STM lenses required.
Not sure if they are up to that task.

FrazeColder

Yes, but i don't want to buy a new cam...
This cam isn't 5 month old and my first DSLR...

Is there anyway to make a FollowFocus on the Canon 600D via ML @dev ?
Does it will come soon ?

Canon implemented new sensor tech and new lenses to do this... how would that work on a 3-5 years old budget camera through add on software alone?

Without a 70D this is what you need... http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=follow%20focus&sprefix=follow+%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Afollow%20focus

And the ones that add zoom to the mix are more than a new camera...

Okay i have now understand everything :D

But a last question, if i am set by the intervalometer the start after to 5:30 h to make a Timelaps from the sunrise, does the battary hold out this time + shooting the sunrise ... o.O ?

And a question to the intervalometer.
If i am timelapsing the sunset at start by shutter  1' and the shutter goes up because of the darkness, the intervalometer dont make a pic every 5 sec or somethink like that, the intervalometer make after shutted again a pic... o.O ?
Why

I can't set the take a pic every sec to 20' because then he wait 14' until to the next shoot...
