So, is it possible to build in Magic Lanter like a feature to have a step-less focus speed/trip for rack focus, just like when you are shooting stills and you go from closeness to infinity? Or maybe a script in future releases?

Are you talking about some sort of option to change focus from were it is to Hyperfocal distance? Because that will be a feat. I'm missing now.
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:
EOS 600DML | EOS 400Dplus | EOS 5D MLbeta5- EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro  - EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM - EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM - 580EXII - OsX, PS, LR, RawTherapee, LightZone -no video experience-

Not exactly, I'm talking about like full-on focus speed for rack focus, here, a video demonstration will be better:

So it's like full speed and not in steps. But for the hyperfocal distance feat., it doesn't sound that bad.

You're asking for a "smoother" rack focus. Is that right?
EOS 1100D | EOS 650 (No, I didn't forget the D) | Ye Olde Canon EF Lenses ('87): 50 f/1.8 - 28 f/2.8 - 70-210 f/4 | EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 | Metz 36 AF-5

Someone has tried the new STM lens with follow focus?

Yes nanomad, that's exactly what I'm going for. If it could be done, it would be a great feature add-on to the ML follow focus.

All you can do is to fine-tune the delays (or figure out how to drive the focus motor directly).
