Not sure whether this was the case before, but certainly with this update I can drag a correctly formatted CDNG (I'm on Mac; from MLV viewer say) and it imports into ME, where I can apply a LUT and export to an appropriate int codec. In my case I choose Cineform or ProRes442 HQ :)
