Hi,
have a 60D and was totally disappointed :-\, that this camera does not have the possibility to use the auto-timer with the option to shot multiple pictures (e.g. 3 in a row).

I did not find this functionality in the set of infinit functions of the ML.

Is this possible and would it make sense to add this option?

Ok, users of the 600D etc.. have this possibilities and do not need this additional feature.

Nevertheless, many thanks and best regards

This is already possible. You can use the intervalometer under the shoot menu. Set it to start after 10 seconds or 20 seconds or whatever, with a 2-3sec interval. You'll have to stop it after you are satisfied with the number of shots it has taken by pressing the Play button. The lowest value for number of shots to stop after is 100 (for time lapse).

Or also you can use HDR with 0 ev increment with canon timer  ;)
I'm using ML2.3 for photography with:
EOS 600DML | EOS 400Dplus | EOS 5D MLbeta5- EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro  - EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM - EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM - 580EXII - OsX, PS, LR, RawTherapee, LightZone -no video experience-

Many thanks! Both approaches should solve my problem. Will give it a try!
