Dedicate a button to LV digic peaking

Now LV digic peaking is by far the most accurate way of focusing and it's awesomely lightweight as well, I just love it. Now the problem is it's rather distracting at times you do not need to be focusing, because of course you can't really get the overall impression of the image.

Could we give an option for LV digic peaking to work while any of the following buttons are being pressed? I'm thinking of the Av button (it would be really handy, just a thumb move away), if that conflicts with some other features (although none that I use) it could also function with say he DOF button - something completely unused - or even the flash. Of course these last two proposals are not that ergonomic, still far superior to not having a button for it at all.

Of course linking it to the Av button would mean (I'm a 600D user) the feature would turn on as long you are changing aperture - but then, so what? That whole action takes a second or so.

I would completely love such a feature, and I'm sure I'm not alone with this!

In the case of 7D it would be RAW/JPEG button - I have never really found it useful in the native way, just a random thought...

What is really needed is a customizable button manager. You may use some particular feature a lot and want to have a dedicated button, but somebody else may never use it at all. Also buttons and their functions vary a lot by camera, and ML tries to have a unified user interface on all these different models. Also not all types of button presses are detectable in all modes on all cameras.
