Welcome!

That's the second time, then I decided to use ML Raw Video in my productions.

The first time it was a bit difficult to make it working, but finally using "mlv_dump - RAWMagic Lite - After Effect's Camera Raw" method I was able to achieve rewarding effects.

I was sure that using this method, every future projects won't cause any another problems... Currently neither After Effect's Camera Raw can't open it correctly. Then, as normal, the first time, only Premiere had problems... Now every another program has... Everywhere my footage has pink tint... Even then I directly opened .MLV files using MlRawViewer.

Please help I don't have any another ideas and feel hopeless.

I'm a Mac user. Everything was recorded with 5D mark II. I'm sorry for any mistakes, which I could make. Below, there is an image showing my problem.

Thank you for your quick reply. The build is 5 may 2014.

I've tried to directly convert .mlv files to .dng using mlv_dump, but it didn't change anything...

Studying your links, I realised that I had "black level fix" enabled... After, I found this thread --> http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=11587.0...

I tried mentioned method with command "exiftool -BlackLevel=1024 M05-1341__C0000_00000.dng" but it didn't change anything...

What other can I do?

5d2 suggested level 1700

If there is still a cast in the blacks, the black level is not correctly set.

It may be 1750, or 1650, or some other value that is close to 1700.

1750 to 1800 seems to do it in my case.

Also download the latest mlv_dump.exe here.http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7122.0

And yes. TURN OFF Black FIX to prevent pink haze frames.

I've tried every value like <1650, 1660 ... 1800>. But it didn't change anything... Am I right that after these changes the footage should looks a bit different?

Currently it always looks like in the link from my first post (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7TsQoxhWUzveFBSX3VqNUpfWXc&usp=sharing).

Any other ideas? Please :/

yes, footage must have visual changes.
try the .dng way. will check tonight what is wrong with mlv_dump.

I downloaded the latest mlv_dump for OS X. Then I typed the command "mlv_dump --black-fix=1700 -o out.MLV M05-1416.MLV", after that I converted .MLV to .RAW (also using mlv_dump) and then to .DNG (using RAWMagic Lite).

The results are the same :/ Nothing has changed...

I'm nearly sure that the solution is simple, but hard to find...

Yough :/ Unfortunately, that doesn't seems to help :/ The situation is the same, as it was before...

Not right! Now the command "mlv_dump --black-fix=1600 -o out.MLV M05-1416.MLV" works nice!!!
God, really thanks a lot for your help! ML is awesome! (y)

please make sure that you hit the correct black level.

e.g. record another video with the same resolution and canon settings.
half a second is enough.

then run "mlv_dump -v newvid.mlv" and check the output where it tells you the content of the RAWI block.
in that block the black level is printed. use this value for your buggy footage.
