I took some video with magic lantern raw (which is awesome btw, Thanks ML team!) and noticed some weird grey dots along the edges of some of my clips in resolve. I wanted to see if it was a problem with resolve's debayer so I took it into ACR, but the same grey dots showed up. Not really sure what is going on, so here are some screen shots.

the image you linked to is too small. Provide link to a higher res image.

Sorry, the black spots are really small so I tried to crop it, but it didn't come out how I expected.
Heres a higher rez image.

Can you mark some of them? I don't see any.

EvanZazula

Its not like a stuck pixel, some of the edges are speckled, its hard to explain. Here are some different crops.

are you referring to the dots outside the outline of the flowers?

Don't have a mkiii but it looks like post sharpening of some sort or is the screenshot of a unprocessed DNG?

ACR has by default 25+ sharpening if I remember correctly, but I am not familiar with Resolve.

Try looking at the next frame and see if the dots move in alignment with the flowers' outline. It might simply be something the sensor "sees".

And I might add that I could not see anything until I watched the 10x crop screenshot. Is it visible when you play it as video?
once you go raw you never go back

These are screenshots of a raw dng, slightly sharpened during davinci's raw decode process, but they are still visible if sharpening is all the way off on both ACR and davinci. The dots are visible in all frames of this clip, and they are always along the edges of the image.

I was looking over some more footage, and found that the pattern shows up mostly on reds. I also found that the pattern won't show up when in the 1:1 3x crop mode.

Perhaps red colours glint the VAF filter ? I dunno..

You'll need someone smarter than me for this.

I went over this ad nauseum with A1ex two weeks ago. You just have to try different RAW or MLV decoding apps. I got the best results with Raw 2 DNG and Raw Magic. I explain how to use Adobe Camera Raw to mask the patterns. If it get's really bad you have to use Raw Therapee and apply different Demosaicing algorithms and masking.
