This was done using FPS override. On 5D2 its limited between .4 to 30 fps.
For this piece I used from 1FPS, 2fps and a couple at 10fps.

For this one its mostly 1fps.

thank you!

I would like to use slient pics with the interavolmeter using the camera setting (shutter speed, apeture and iso) that it is set at. for example i want to take 10 second long exposures at f9 with iso 100. how can i accomplish this with silent pic dng and the iteravolmeter?

Works just as you describe. That is enable silent picture in single mode, set intervalometer attributes, focus and comprise, switch to LV. Start sequence.

I have taken many timelapses this way.

The resultant 14-bit DNGs, albeit smaller pixel size than a full DNG are great for creating timelapses.

I use LR, LRTimelapse and Panolapse.

I also use EXIFToolsGUI or Lenstagger to add back in the missing EXIF, if needed. Not all deflicker tools require EXIF.

Bottom line, if you accept the missing EXIF, silent DNG timelapse works well.
