Hi all,

Been an avid follower of ML Raw developments, and I use it for all of my videos now. It's truly amazing the difference in color, and sharpness on the raw footage.

Unfortunately, I have this huge issue that all of the footage I upload to YouTube is just not as sharp as the original footages. So something I'm doing is wrong. I was hoping an expert would be able to chime in and help me out :)

Here is my example work:
Example A (Azaad) from Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/94889703

Example B (Stay With Me) from Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/94888103

My workflow is:
5D2 RAW -> Raw2DNG -> Import ProRes4444s to Premiere -> Cut together -> Color with Magic Bullet Looks -> Export h264 20mbps

Thank you!

EDIT: Reuploaded one video as a stretched to 1920, 5d2 maxes at 1880.

How are you making the ProRes4444 Files A.E. with ACR ? if it's A.E. you can dynamic link the A.E. Project file in to Premiere Pro and edit DNG native or convert the raw files with raw2Cdng and the Cdng's can be edited native also.

I don't have Premiere CC, i think you need it to edit CDNG right?

Also, I've reuploaded with an image stretch to 1080p full res. there is a noticeable difference in quality jump on YT.

I think yes , but you can do the A.E. work around with "dng's" or "Cdng's" . Just start a Project in After Effects and , import the raw dng/cdng's do what ever
save project exit start Premiere Pro import the A.E. project and edit from there etc.....
I posted a short video tutorial , link below.

FYI, I use a multi pass vbr main profile level 5.0 @30Mb/s h264 for YouTube  ;)

Edit: you can always convert to a 16bit Tiff image sequences and import in to PP
