Hi, first post here. I wouldn't start a new thread so I might just add to this one as it's related.
I've been redirected from a facebook group to ask the question:
Could it be possible, when using external monitors, to get a display that "looks" like this one (not exactly, as it wouldn't be possible to have everything placed that way) but something similar. I mean, with the histogram/vectorscope down there, and some other infos placed upper and lower, in a 2.35:1 matte? And would it be possible to have the choice between, let's say, two display profiles: scope and regular 16:9 (as the placement wouldn't be the same)?

Here's what I have in mind as inspiration:

Could it be possible, or the display can't be changed?
Thanks a lot.

Should be already possible in HDMI VGA mode (change the screen layout) - although that display is optimized for 5D Mark II which has a 4:3 screen. Vectorscope is too big to fit there though.

Ok. But it's possible to change the layout then?
I mean, even if it would be over a bit, it could be possible to rearrange the icons. Maybe I could check to "design" one that you could work on if you have time?
Thanks

You could try. Be aware that current feature set is frozen, so you will have to wait.

drapeama

Not a problem. I'll see what I could do with it.
Thanks again!

This might not be completely logical, but maybe an option so that if you are using an external monitor, all the fonts and icons can be smaller? That way you can fit more on top and on bottom as you will be using a bigger screen.
