Hey folks,
I got another feature suggestion. I hope I haven't overseen any existing one.

I would like to have Magic Lantern to take Control of the file naming.

Magig lantern could than name every exposure for hdr images something like: 1hdr1, 1hdr2, 1hdr3 the next new series would start with a 2 so 2hdr1, 2hdr2 and 2hdr3.

pictures with the bulb timer could be named bulm1, bulb2

this would make it much easier to sort them in order to sort them on the computer.

thanks

Afaik this was requested before and the problem is that renaming is unreliable (see dual_iso).

A work around I've discovered is to enable the creation of file lists/scripts in ML and then use this list to programmatically rename/move the files in post.

As far as sorting Bulb shots, this should be easy to do with the exif data that is already there. Any respectable photo managing/editing software can sort/filter based on exif data.
